Kinderkankerfonds vzw

Kinderkankerfonds vzw is a non-profit foundation based in Ghent, Belgium. Kinderkankerfonds vzw helps children with cancer and their families by supporting hospitals with extra staff, direct financial support to families, a home care organisation “Koester”, day care for brothers and sisters of children in the hospital : “de Lieving”, research on specific techniques, drugs or treatments via Kikares, recreation at home and in the hospital with “Studio Nona” and many other direct and indirect initiatives. Since it was founded in 1988, the Kinderkankerfonds vzw has grown from a family-initiative to the biggest organisation in Belgium specifically caring for children with cancer. During these years the Kinderkankerfonds has already spend over 28 million Euro, thanks to many donations, legacies and actions from families. Home-base is Ghent but vzw Kinderkankerfonds is also active in the university hospitals of Antwerp and Brussels.
